The young woman that was hit by a lorry on Bucharest Street in Chisinau on November 13 did not have chances to survive as she suffered injuries incompatible with life, say doctors of the ambulance service. According to coordinating doctor Eufalia Negreata, even if the ambulance had been at the scene when the accident occurred, the girl would have died because she was seriously injured on the head. The ambulance got stuck in the traffic jam on 31 August Street. The drivers refused to allow the ambulance to pass, so it came with delay. Eufalia Negreata says that the ambulance was called at about 13.30. It set off in a minute. As the driver did not know the intersection where the accident happened, he turned to 31 August Street to reach Vasile Alecsandri Street. When the doctors came to the scene, the young women aged 26 had already died. Eufalia Negreata says that the ambulance service doctors are indignant at the press reports that the ambulance arrived 25 minutes later and that the girl died because of this. Four persons were injured in road accidents on the same day. An unidentified man aged about 30 died unexpectedly near Saint Gheorghe Church. On the day before, the ambulance service recorded 650 calls, including 60 causes of trauma, 30 cases of acute virosis, five brain strokes and a heart attack.
