A woman aged 23 from Milesti village of Nisporeni district was found dead with a stab wound in the neck in a shed. The 49-year-old partner of the woman confessed to killing her. The two had two children of 1 and 3 together.
Contacted by IPN, the head of the Milesti police post Marin Zestrea said the woman, together with her family, lived in a nearby village, from where the man is, but several days ago she moved to her grandmother in Milesti with the two children, for the reason that she quarreled with her partner. On February 9, the man came to the woman’s house and called her out to discuss, but took her to the shed near the house and stabbed her mortally there. Afterward, the man went to the Nisporeni Police Inspectorate and surrendered.
Sources in the Milesti mayor’s office have told IPN that the elder child is now at the local multifunctional social center, while the younger child is in the hospital together with the grandmother. The authorities are to decide who will take care of them.
The man had been married and has two children from that marriage. He faces 10 to 15 years in jail or life.
