Young persons from four districts to persuade people to vote consciously

Young people from four districts will distribute promotional materials under the slogan “Building the future together” and will try to convince the people to consciously vote in the June 5 local elections, Info-Prim Neo reports. The young persons will share posters, calendars and decals for pens, T-shirts, bags and balloons. The campaign is conducted by the Institute for Development and Social Initiative (IDIS) “Viitorul” in partnership with the Czech civic association “Agora Central Europe”. The promotional materials contain the imprint of a house formed of a number of hands, which symbolizes solidarity between citizens for local development. The young people from Calarasi, Telenesti, Cimislia and Cantemir prepared a number of activities aimed at drawing attention to the local elections. They include public debates, flashmob meetings, friendly football matches, and drawing contests. The young persons will go from door to door and inform the people that the local elections will take place on June 5. They will also use the socialization networks to promote the slogan of the campaign. In 2005 and 2009, IDIS “Viitorul” contributed to the foundation of “Coalition 2005” and “Coalition 2009” - civic organizations that aim to ensure appropriate conditions for holding free, democratic and fair elections in Moldova.
