The Ministry of Environment has launched the second Summer School “Hai Moldova” (“Come on, Moldova”) that is intended for 50 active and motivated young people who want to become ambassadors “Hai Moldova” and coordinators in their communities. With the support of the team, they will organize the cleanup of the area where they live. The event will be staged on September 23, on the World Cleanup Day, IPN reports.

Within the Summer School, the participants will be able to know young people with whom they will want to share similar views and will learn how to interact with the local public authorities and nongovernmental organizations and legal aspects of Moldova’s legislation as regards environmental protection.

Those who want to take part should fill out a form that is available on the website of the Ministry of Environment until May 31, 2017. The program will take place during July 14-16, 2017. Transport from Chisinau to the training place, accommodation and food are provided by the organizers.

The three editions (2011, 2012 and 2016) of the Summer School involved more than 220,000 volunteers who managed to sensitize the citizens to the ecological problems faced in the Republic of Moldova.

“Hai Moldova” is the largest social project in Moldova by the population participation rate. The movement “Hai Moldova” was initiated in 2011 as part of the international movement “Let’s Do It!” that was launched in Estonia in 2008.
