Young Moldovan designers invited to interior design competition

Young designers from Moldova have the opportunity to test their skills at a national interior design competition, organised by the chain of furniture & appliances stores “Casa Moderna” (Modern House), Coffee House restaurants, the Architects’ Union and the Designers’ Union of Moldova. Casa Moderna’s general director Valeriu Gushilo told a news conference Tuesday that the goal of the contest is to discover new talents, encourage the participants and popularise their creations, as well as to contribute to the young designers’ professional development. The contest provides the participants with a unique opportunity to showcase their talent, to get public recognition, to learn and to get valuable awards, Gushilo said. The participants must be 25 years old and younger. The applications shall enclose a design concept for a Coffee House café. The jury composed of well-known professionals in the field will select the 10 finalists, who will receive diplomas, official certificates and money prizes. Those concerned are invited to submit their applications until September 10 to Casa Moderna.
