Young men stealing wheels with stolen car

Three young men were arrested on suspicion that they stole wheels. Later it was established that the car by which they transported the wheels was also stolen. General Police Commissariat spokesman Adrian Jovmir has told Info-Prim Neo that the young men were stopped by the traffic police for a check. As they could not explain where they took the wheels from, they were taken to the police station. There they confessed that they stole the wheels in order to replace the wheels of the VAZ that they stole in Chisinau’s Buiucani district early in October. Meanwhile, they painted the white car red. The suspects are from Straseni and are aged between 18 and 22. They face a fine of 6 000 to 20 000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service, or up to four years’ imprisonment.
