Young men rape girl after giving immobilizing substance to her

Two young men from Rascani district were sentenced to six and seven years in prison for raping a girl from the same settlement, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to the prosecutors, in 2008 the offenders aged 24 and 25 served the victim with a juice in which they put an unidentified substance. After the victim drank it, she felt powerless. Profiting from the girl’s inability to protect herself, the two took her to a house and raped her there. After the incident, the culprits left the country, but in 2010 one of them got seven years in jail for his deed, while the other one was extradited from Russia and was recently sentenced to six years’ imprisonment. The sentence can be appealed to a higher court.
