Two young men aged 21 died in a car accident on the Leușeni-Hâncești highway, near the Leușeni customs post, earlier this morning. Contacted by IPN for details, senior press officer of the Hâncești Police Inspectorate Cristina Vicol said the young men were from Edineț district and were heading for the Leușeni customs post. The driver tried to overtake a large truck and crashed the car into another vehicle moving legally.
The impact was fatal for the two men. An extrication team was called out to extract the bodies.
The other persons involved in the accident didn’t suffer serious injuries.
