A 32-year-old man was sentenced to eight years in prison for attempted rape and nonconsensual sexual acts against a minor girl. It happened last summer in a public park, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, in the evening of July 19, 2023, the defendant noticed a 14-year-old girl in a park and started to talk to her. To sexually abuse her, he dragged her into the bushes, tightly held her hands, shut her mouth and pushed her forcefully to the ground. Subsequently, the young man stripped her naked and committed sexual actions towards the minor. Later, he tried to enter into forced sexual intercourse with her, but failed because three people who were nearby intervened.
The defendant was found guilty of attempting to rape a minor and of committing nonconsensual sexual acts. The man pleaded not guilty.
