Young man suspected of committing 30 burglaries

A Chisinau man, 24, is suspected by the police of being responsible for a rush of more than 30 burglaries. He was arrested recently after allegedly burglarizing a home on Florilor Street, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the police, from the last address the suspect stole money and valuables. During the arrest the man had 12,000 euros and housebreaking tools on him. A search at his place yielded 148 pieces of jewelry and digital equipment which are said to be stolen. If found guilty the man faces prison terms of 10 to 25 years without the right to occupy certain posts for a period of up to 5 years. From the beginning of the year the police recorded more than 1,500 burglaries, a third of which in Chisinau.
