A 27-year-old man spent a night outside in the cold and runs the risk of remaining without legs. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, told Info-Prim Neo that the man was found in Bubuieci commune of Chisinau municipality on Sunday morning and was rushed to the hospital as he had both of his legs frostbitten. Two homeless persons aged 34 and 48 were discovered on the street and taken to the hospital with general hypothermia. A man aged 53 was found in a coma in his garage on Petru Zadnipru St in Chisinau. The man froze and decided to warm himself in his car with the engine on. He was admitted into Saint Trinity Hospital. Two men and one woman, all aged 58, died unexpectedly on Monday morning. The woman died in a bus running on route No. 39. On Sunday and Monday night, the ambulance doctors responded to 800 calls, dealing with 87 cases of acute viral infection, 14 cases of flu, 65 cases of trauma, four strokes and 14 deliveries.
