Young man seriously injured in road accident in central Chisinau

A 22-year-old man was severely hurt in a car accident that happened in central Chisinau, near Patria Movie Theater, early this morning, Info-Prim Neo reports. The VAZ-21011 driven by the young man went out of control on the icy road, skidded and went straight into a tree. Chisinau Ambulance Service managing doctor Anatol Proca said the ambulance was called by a 21-year-old girl who was traveling in the car. She was also injured. The young man was taken to the reanimatology section of the Emergency Hospital with a thoracic trauma, concussion, cerebral trauma, and fractures of the legs. He was in a second-third-degree traumatic shock. The girl was admitted to the same hospital with an associated trauma, backbone injury and fracture of the pelvic bones. Witnesses said the ambulance doctors and police officers needed about ten minutes to take the young man out of the damaged car.
