Young man seriously injured falling off a trolleybus

A young man from the capital was seriously injured after he had fallen off a trolleybus. According to the traffic security inspector of the Chisinau Traffic Police, Ion Roscovanu, the accident occurred at the trolleybus station on Stefan cel Mare Boulevard, 132. The young man aged 27, fell off the trolleybus and suffered a head injury, mental shock and fractured his cranium. A 49-year-old man, resident of Cioara village, Hancesti raion, had suffered severe injuries. The accident, caused by a Mercedes-208D minibus, had happened on Calea Iesilor Street. The victim received a head injury and mental shock. A student aged 17, of the Boarding School nr. 5, was hit at 4.15 pm by a Mercedes-308D minibus, route 124, at the intersection of Mihail Kogalniceanu and Banulescu-Bodoni streets. The boy received injuries to his legs. At 4.40pm, at the intersection of Mihai Viteazul and Albisoara streets, a Ford-Orion car hit a nine-year-old girl, who was hospitalized with injuries to arm and articulation of femur. During the last 24 hours, police inspectors in Chisinau have reported 4 road accidents resulted in 4 injured persons, including 2 minors, and 18 accidents without victims. During the day there were identified 17 intoxicated drivers, 15 jaywalkers, and 106 speedings.
