A 24-year-old man ordered the murder of his father aged 54 in order to get a medal collection to the value of $2 million. The man was caught by the police red-handed, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The police officers say the man has been in conflict with his father for about three years. Initially, he promised 50% of the cost of the collection to the killer that was a policeman under cover, but as a result of talks they agreed on $35,000. The suspect was arrested on December 12 at the intersection of Independentei and Dacia streets in Chisinau. The suspect’s father has collected Petru I, Petru II, Alexandru Nevscki and other medals for about 30 years. No one knew about the collection, including his son. The young man is now under arrest. Legal action was taken against him. If found guilty, he would serve up to 25 years in jail.
