The young man charged with killing a teenage girl in a village in Ialoveni district in August will stand trial. According to prosecutors, after killing the girl he raped the dead body and then hid this under a pile of branches in the yard of an abandoned house, IPN reports.
The Prosecutor General’s Office said that being under the influence of alcohol, the 18-year-old man stabbed the minor victim with a kitchen knife into the neck, chest and the abdomen as a result of a quarrel at night. The girl died on the spot.
The accused admitted his guilt. He was remanded in custody and faces 15 to 20 years in jail or life.
A minor girl aged 17 from Leova district was killed by a young man who she just met on social media as a result of an argument. The crime was discovered after the suspect’s friend, a 19-year-old, turned himself in. He told the police that all three of them went out that night. An argument broke out between the suspect and the victim, and the witness says he saw his friend take out a knife and stabbing the girl.
