Young man kills himself on Easter

A young man committed suicide in an apartment on Easter. Maria Shamatailo, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the police and the ambulance were called by dwellers of an apartment building located on Hasdeu St in Chisinau. They said they saw a hanged man in an apartment through the window. The police forced the door and found the 29-year-old man hanged. He died on the night of April 5. The man had the domicile at another address. An investigation is under way. Three women aged 21, 30 and 40 tried to kill themselves by taking pills. They were taken to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox. A man in his 50s suffering from alcohol intoxication was rushed to the hospital from Armeneasca St. On April 6 in the morning, seven persons sustained traumas after a minibus running on route No. 171 crashed into a BMW car on Calea Iesilor St. They were taken to the Emergency Hospital Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 650 calls, including 59 cases of acute viral infection, 18 cases of pneumonia, 57 cases of trauma, four strokes, one heart attack and 19 deliveries.
