Young man jumps into lake, but hits his head on asphalt

A 23-year-old man jumped into the water from a height of about 2 meters, but hit his head on the asphalt. The incident happened near a lake in the La Izvor Park on Calea Iesilor St in Chisinau, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to coordinating doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service Silvia Babara, the man was hospitalized in a serious condition, with a skull base fracture. The circumstances of the incident are not known. An investigation is under way. A man aged 26 threatened his parents he will kill himself if they do not pay his gambling debts. As his parents did not believe him, he cut his veins superficially and then called an ambulance. A 63-year-old woman from Soroca came to visit her children in Chisinau. She suffered sunstroke after seating on a bench near an apartment building for a period. The woman refused to be hospitalized after she received medical care. A woman, 59, got poisoned with fresh mushrooms. She was taken to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulance teams traveled to 767 addresses and dealt with 78 cases of trauma, 84 cases of acute viral infection and five strokes.
