Young man imprisoned for robbing pensioner’s house

A 24-year-old man from Briceni district was sentenced to five years and six months in prison for robbing the house of a pensioner confined to bed, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office. According to the prosecutors, the young man entered the pensioner’s house while under the influence of alcohol, threatened him and stole money and goods to the value of over 3,300 lei. The culprit is married and has a minor child, but was imprisoned because he was on probation for theft.
