The Bălți Appeals Court sentenced a man aged 21 from Glodeni to 11 years in jail because he sexually exploited a 15-year-old girl from Soroca via the internet, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases, in the summer of 2017 the young man contacted the girl over the internet from false accounts. He profited from the young age of the girl and made her watch him masturbating, promising a luxury cellphone to her. She accepted as she hoped to become popular among her friends and mates with such a phone.
Later, for offering her the phone, the young man told the girl to send him intimate photos of her. After coming in possession of those pictures, he threatened to send these to the girl’s relatives and classmates. When the girl refused to show intimidate parts of her body over the internet, the young man tried to contact her farther via the internet and sent intimidate photos of the girl to a classmate of hers. This made the girl think about suicide.
The classmate persuaded the girl to talk to her parents and to the authorities. This way the young man was brought to justice.
The culprit is now under arrest. He is also tried for murder. The sexually exploited girl was offered psychological assistance and now studies at the university.
