Young man firing at doves hurts passerby

A young man who was firing at doves from a pneumatic pistol injured a passerby on the night of March 12. The victim was near a kiosk on Moscovei Blvd. The fire was opened from the balcony of a building situated nearby. Fortunately, the wound was not serious and the man didn’t need hospitalization. Adrian Jovmir, head of the Chisinau Police Division’s Public Relations Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the culprit is 24. He is from Drochia, but lives in Chisinau on a temporary basis. The gun from which he shot was found in his apartment. The police possess information that the young man earlier fired at a young woman, but the bullet penetrated her coat only. The young man faces three to seven years in jail for hooliganism. The law does not oblige the persons who own pneumatic pistols to hold permit.
