Young man drowns in lake in Valea Trandafirilor Park

A 20-year-old man drowned in a lake in Valea Trandafirilor Park in Chisinau on May 23 in the evening. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the man was from Izbiste village of Criuleni district. He went to the lake with his friends for a picnic. At about 18.30, he went underwater and did not come out. His friends sought help from the frogmen and the ambulance doctors. The young man was taken out of the water soon afterward, but he was already dead. Four persons, including two children, were injured in a road accident near the bridge of Budesti village, which forms part of the municipality of Chisinau. The cart in which the four persons were traveling was struck by a car. Consequently, a 25-year-old woman sustained a concussion and a fracture of the nasal bones. A man aged 38 got two ribs broken. A girl aged seven suffered a concussion, while a six-year-old girl received knee injuries. The four were hospitalized. A man aged 67 was taken to Saint Trinity Hospital after he got poisoned with bought mushrooms. Three women aged 18, 19 and 26 took pills in order to kill themselves. They were admitted to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau ambulances traveled to 657 addresses, dealing with 89 cases of acute viral infection, 71 cases of trauma, two strokes and 15 deliveries.
