A young man aged 20 was electrocuted to death while carrying out works on a pole in Ștefan Vodă town.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Ștefan Vodă Police Inspectorate Mariana Didenco said that the police on Friday were informed that a man was electrocuted in the town.
Mariana Didenco noted that the employee of a company that provides electrical works died on the spot when carrying out planned works at height. A criminal case was started on the case to establish all the circumstances.
Data from the State Labor Inspectorate show that about 600 accidents in which 626 people suffered were recorded last year. Of the 69 fatal accidents reported to the Inspectorate, 25 were work accidents.
