Young man dies after hit by train

A 19-year-old man from Straseni district was killed when he was struck by a train running on the Chisinau – Ocnita route in the morning of February 21, Info-Prim Neo reports. Major Dumitru Procop, of the Chisinau Transport Police Commissariat, said the incident happened near Straseni town at about 10.00. The police were alerted by the engine driver of the train that hit the man. It is presumed that the young man was from Onesti village of Straseni district. The police haven’t yet established whether it was an accident or suicide.
