A man aged 22 died last night in a road accident not far from Orhei town. Dan Chirita, of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the accident happened at about 2am on the Chisinau – Soroca road.
A speeding Nissan-Almera skidded, overturned and caught fire. By the time the firefighters arrived, the car burned completely. The driver could not escape death. The Traffic Police are investigating the case.
A pensioner aged 76 was struck by a BMW car on a street in Orhei town. With serious traumas, he was rushed to the Orhei district hospital, where he died shortly afterward.
Two persons were killed and 11 injured in ten accidents on the national roads yesterday and last night.
