Some 50 members of the youth organization of the Liberal Party (PL) expressed their disagreement with “the dictatorial policy promoted by the Communist authorities.” The young people staged a flash mob in front of the Moldovan Presidency, carrying placards and portraits of dictators, Info-Prim Neo reports. Chisinau Liberal councilor Ion Cebanu has said the protest pursued to draw the attention to “the breeches against democracy happening in Moldova.” “An example is what happens with PRO TV, everything that has happened with the caravan for retreating the Russian army, and many other illegalities happening with the agreement of Moldovan president Vladimir Voronin. He grasps in his hands the legislative, executive and judicial powers,” Ion Cebanu said. “Refusing to prolong PRO TV's license outlines even more this dictatorship promoted by the Communists, and the portraits of the dictators: Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini are an example for V. Voronin, who follows their dictatorial policies,” said Ion Bargan, the president of the Liberals studying at Moldovan State University. The young people say they staged the protests on this day, as Romania marks on December 16 the Day of the National Solidarity against Dictatorship. They suggest that such a day would be welcome in Moldovan, too, since the Moldovans have suffered much from occupation regime.
