Yesterday’s snow did not upset traffic in Chisinau

All the roads in the municipality of Chisinau are passable. The snow that fell in the evening of January 17 did not affect traffic, the Chisinau City Hall says in a communiqué, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. The road workers cleaned the snow from streets from 10pm until 5am. Twenty-two special vehicles cleaned the streets and spread antiskid material. The seven streets that are closed for winter were also cleaned. These are: Timis and Ganea in Centru district, a part of Paris St in Durlesti town of Buiucani district, Postei St in Riscani district, Causeni St in Botanica district and Vadul lui Voda St and Uzinelor bystreet in Ciocana district. The given streets are closed for traffic in winter even if they are cleaned. In the morning, employees of the Public Amenities Division cleaned the sidewalks and areas between quarters with 41 special units of equipment. The public units of transport run according to the ordinary program. As many as 258 trolleybuses, 96 buses and over 1 800 minibuses are now transporting passengers. The City Hall calls on the drivers to be careful on the road and park the vehicles legally so as to allow the special cars to remove the snow.
