The Transnistrian administration extended the ongoing yellow security alert on the left side of the Nistru until September 21. An order to this effect was signed by the Transnistrian leader Vadim Krasnoselsky, IPN reports.

Among the introduced measures are the registration of citizens when these move through checkpoints set up by Tiraspol and heightening of inspections of vehicles entering or leaving the region, and of those staying in railway stations on the left side of the Nistru and in the municipality of Bender.

The de facto administration of the Transnistrian region at the end of April introduced a red alert after a series of explosions that occurred in the region. A month later, the alert level was downgraded to yellow and was extended through August.
