Yellow markings at major intersections in Chisinau

Yellow markings will appear at the most important intersections in Chisinau by the end of this week. They will prevent the drivers from stopping there so that traffic jams do not form, Info-Prim Neo reports. “I saw that the people do not have space at intersections. Though they see that the stoplights show red, they think they will cross the street quicker if they are at intersections and thus block traffic on the perpendicular road,” said Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca. He ordered marking the intersections of Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Puskin St, Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Tighina St, Stefan cel Mare Blvd. and Armeneasca St, and of the streets Columna and Vasile Alecsandri by this weekend. According to the director of the road managing company “Exdrupo” Efim Cheptanari, the marking works go on. This year, there will be marked 65,000 square meters of street.
