Hydrologists have issued a yellow warning about the further increase in water discharges from the Dnestrovsk reservoir, up to 1,500 m3/s. It is forecast that the water level in the Nistru River, between Naslavcea and Dubăsari, will continue to rise by 1.5-2.5 meters during April 17-21, IPN reports.

The State Weather Service warns the population to be cautious. In low places, the water can overflow into the meadow.

Given the rainy weather, the water level in the Prut River, between Criva and Costești, is expected to rise by 10-30 centimeters.

On the other sectors of the Nistru and Prut rivers, the hydrological regime will not change essentially.

There will be rain that will turn heavy in the northern and central districts (15-45 l/m2). The wind will intensify on April 17, especially in the southeastern districts, while on April 18, in parts of the the country, with speeds of up to 15-18 m/s.
