Weather forecasters on July 22 issued a yellow code warning for hot weather and exceptional danger of fire. This covers a seven-day period, IPN reports.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, there is a risk of crops, fodder storehouses, forest vegetation areas, apartments and annexes catching fire during July 22-29. The people are urged to avoid using open fire, especially near forests, plantations or facilities with a high risk of catching fire.

During July 24-29, daytime temperatures wil rise to 33 degrees Celsius and more. In such conditions, the population is exposed to health-related risks, in particular the people from the major risk groups. The working capacity can also be affected. The leaves and ripen and non-ripen fruit may become dry, while the growth of crops could be interrupted.
