The year 2021 was prolific for the people of science of the Republic of Moldova, despite a number of difficulties faced in science, including due to the pandemic restrictions. “This year was hard from two viewpoints: financial and in terms of uncertainty. As regards scientific activities, the Institute implements two state programs. One refers to the quality of justice, while another to the forging of social cohesion. “We also had two expressions of interest: concerning the functioning capacity of state institutions and good practices in the field of scientific researche implemented in the Republic of Moldova,” stated Victor Juc. The Institute determined and substantiated the activity format of the new government – it is an Anglo-Saxon model with active involvement of the executive in justice”.
The Institute published the collections “Republic of Moldova in the Context of Modernization Needs” and “Good Practices for Democratic Governance”. There was also issued the volume “Advocacy Activity in the Republic of Moldova” and two more works are to be printed, namely “Top Ten Pressing Problems of the Republic of Moldova” and “Evolution of the Republic of Moldova in Independence Context” that is devoted to the 30th anniversary of the declaring of independence.
Fruitful results were also achieved in 2021 by the Institute of Romanian Philology “Bogdan Petriceicu-Hasdeu” of Chisinau. “Even if we all worked in conditions of pandemic and it wasn’t easy, this year the Institute organized, in partnership with other (inter)national institutions, 24 online events (conferences, symposiums, etc.) and published 200 scientific works (monographs, dictionaries, collections of documents of (inter)national conferences (articles in expert journal), three numbers of the journal “Psychology” and two numbers of the journal “Language, Literature, Folklore”,” the Institute’s director Nina Korchnski posted on her Facebook page, being quoted by IPN.
She said a result this year is also the website LogosPlus (logosplus.ifr.md) - a portal of philological resources intended for the general public, which includes tables for cultivating the language, online dictionaries and others. “The books and articles written by my colleagues should swiftly reach libraries, bookstores and schools,” said Nina Korchnski.
This year, employees of the Institute of Romanian Philology have won a number of international awards for their accomplishments.
