XIII Star of Chisinau Song Festival to hold qualifying stage

The Phoenix Bird Cultural Society announces the qualifying stage for the song contest “Steaua Chisinaului” (“The Star of Chisinau”). The section “Beginners” is open for Moldovan children aged from 8 to 13 years. Young people aged between 14 and 30 will participate in the “Youth” section. The persons who earlier obtained the main prize cannot participate in the same section of the contest. At the qualifying stage, children will perform one or two songs at their will and the youth – one song. The participation fee is MDL 300. Within the competition all the admitted persons will perform a single song, in Romanian. The pre-selection for the “Beginners” section will take place on Saturday and for the “Youth Section” – on Sunday.
