Writers declare “State of Emergency” in literature and arts in Moldova

A journal of literature, arts and attitude titled “State of Emergency” was launched in Chisinau. The publication was founded by the writers Marius Ianus and Dumitru Crudu. The editorial staff includes the writer, literary critic and journalist Iulian Ciocan, the writer and journalist Pavel Paduraru, collaborators from Romania and other states. Writer Alexandru Buruiana, the secretary general of the journal’s editorial office, told Info-Prim Neo that the “State of Emergency” is a bimonthly publication on literary, social, artistic and fewer political topics. It contains analysis, surveys, interviews, travel notes, poems and prose, Alexandru Buruiana said. The journal includes two supplements – of the editorial office “Polirom” that presents the recently released books, and of the Moldova Yong Artists Association “Oberliht”. In the first number, the Association presents the contemporary arts project “Interventions 2”, whish had been implemented in Chisinau between July 2 and 31, 2007 with the participation of Iosif Kiraly, artist photographer from Bucharest, and the artists Ludmila Bouros, Mihai Bruma, Max Cuzmenco, Victor Cuzmenco, Diana Draganova, Tatiana Fiodorova, Irina Francova, Andrei Gamart, Victor Garstea, Vitalie Iurasco, Alexandru Raevschi, Emanuela Spranceana and Vladimir Us. The journal “State of Emergency” has 24 colour pages in A3 format and is available from the press kiosks of Moldova from December 20. The next number of the publication will appear on January 15, 2008.
