The book “Vinyl Collection” written by Igor Guzun was launched at the Museum of Arts of Moldova on October 4. The book is a reviewed edition of the book “Vinyl” launched in 2015, which was supplemented with new texts, IPN reports.
According to the author, the volume consists of a collection of short texts about emotional and fundamental things from the life of a person. When the people remember the objects and states depicted in the book, like of an old collection of vinyl records, there are yet chances for these to make progress as humans.
“Why do we love books? Because they help us not only to be wise people, but also to do wise things. When we say that a book impresses us or moves us, it actually makes us do good things,” said the author. He noted a book is a book not only due to the name on the cover, but rather due to the many people who make effort for this to come out.
The book “Vinyl Collection” by Igor Guzun appeared with the support of the commercial bank “Mobiasbancă – Groupe Société Générale”. The bank’s secretary general Stela Ciobanu said there is no better motivation to do good things than listening to the music, painting and reading books. “I read this book without leaving it from my hands. I found myself in all the stages described there, from childhood to maturity. I liked the language used in this book that will be discovered by the new generation that I’m sure will return to books after reading it. It is a scan of things that count the most for us: people, emotions, feelings,” stated Stela Ciobanu.
The launch was attended by colleagues, friends and acquaintances of the writer. Sorin Meriacre, president of East Europe Foundation, said the author of the book used the vinyl in order to reproduce and print on paper his thoughts. “Vinyl” is a collection of nice memories, some of which are probably sadder as we are no longer children,” he stated.
“When I read “Vinyl”, I realized I understood it in a way, but when I read it in five, ten or 20 years, I will perceive it differently. The book contains things that are representative for the people of Moldova and for the Republic of Moldova, for the place and the globe too. This book should be read and should be accessible,” said singer Stela Botez.
