The children’s poetry book “Colored seasons” by writer Emilia Plugaru was launched at the Municipal Library “B. P. Hasdeu”. The book that appeared at the end of this July contains 20 poems classified according to season and are accompanied by watercolor illustrations made by painter Ion Cârchelan, IPN reports.

Emilia Plugaru said she wrote the book for children, but this reaches also adults’ souls. She started to write when she was a child, but didn’t dream of becoming a writer. She then studied architecture, worked in the field and forgot to write. She returned to writing when her children grew up. “Passion repapered as the humans never lose the child living inside them. When you become a mother, you become a child again. When you write about children, you forget about all the sorrows. It is often an escape from boring life,” stated the writer.

The guests attending the launch appreciated the quality of the poems and the special style of the illustrations made by watercolor painter Ion Cârchelan. Poet and essayist Ianoş Ţurcanu said Emilia Plugaru is a poet who writes how she thinks and how she breathes. Poet Traian Vasilcău commended the poems written in Bessarabia, especially the children’s poems, making reference to the works of Emiliei Plugaru.

Poet Galina Furdui applauded the author’s capacity to understand the world around her and to transpose it in the children’s language, noting the writer prepares a new poetry book, for grownups.

The book is available from the publishing houses Cartier, Litera and Făt-Frumos of Chisinau and from the national chain of Librarius bookshops.

Emilia Plugaru has written poems, stories and tales for over 20 years. The volume “Colored seasons” is her  second published book. The author popularizes her works mostly through social networking sites.
