Moldovan wrestlers missed again the chance of winning a medal at the European Wrestling Championships that are taking place in Tbilisi. Piotr Ianulov was close to winning a medal in the 84kg class, but lost the fight for the bronze to Ukraine’s Ibragim Aldatov. In the final, Ianulov finished fifth, as Moldovan wrestlers Mihai Sava and Alexandru Chirtoaca, IPN reports.
In the 72kg class, Svetlana Saenko, who took part in the London Olympics, was eliminated after the inaugural march.
Moldova’s Greco-Roman-style wresters Victor Ciobanu (55kg), Donior Islamov (60kg), Ion Luchita (66kg), and Andrian Mocanu (84kg) will enter the competition the coming days
