Moldova’s Anastasia Nikita (59 kg) won the 1/8 wrestling finals at the Paris Olympics against German wrestler Sandra Paruszewski with a score of 9:0, IPN reports.
In the quarterfinals, Anastasia Nikita will meet Brazil’s Giullia Penalber.
This is the Moldovan wrestler’s second participation in the Olympic Games. At the Tokyo Olympics, she ranked seventh.
Anastasia Nikita is a multiple European and world champion. She was named the best wrestler in Europe and headed the rankings of the best wrestlers of the world in the up to 57 kg weight class, according to United World Wrestling.
