Moldovan wrestler Anastasia Nikita has won a bronze medal at the European Games held in Minsk. In the match for bronze in the 57 kg weight class, she beat Norway’s Grace Bullen 11-4, IPN reports.
The pupil of Tudor Cîrlan also defeated Lenka Hockova of the Czech Republic 11-0 and Irina Chykhradze of Ukraine 4-2, but lost dramatically to Belarus’s Irina Kurachkina in the semifinals.
Greco-Roman wrestlers Victor Ciobanu (60 kg) and Igor Beșleagă (77 kg) will compete in the playoffs today, June 29. Victor Ciobanu pays Turkey’s Kerem Kamal, while Igor Beșleagă meets Ukraine’s Elmar Nuraliev. Viorel Burduja enters the competition in the 87 kg class also today. He will fight against Arkadiusz Kulynycz of Poland.
