World War II veterans to be allotted by 500 lei from Chisinau budget

The veterans of the Soviet and Romanian armies will receive by 500 lei from the social protection fund of the municipality of Chisinau. They will meet representatives of the local administration on Friday, May 7, Info-Prim Neo reports. The Chisinau district heads’ offices will organize meetings with veterans and charity events, said the head of the Socio-Humanitarian and Interethnic Relations Division Nina Stratulat. Recently, the central authorities also announced that they will provide aid on the occasion of the 64th anniversary of the victory over fascism. About 5.5 million lei was allocated from the National Population Support Fund to the local funds for the purpose. The invalids and participants in the Second World War will receive by 500 lei, while the persons related to the participants in the Second World War, to those that died or where killed in action and the husbands (wives) of the survivors will receive by 400 lei.
