Moldova will mark the World Tourism Day on September 27. On this occasion, a number of events aimed at promoting tourism will be staged since September 24, Info-Prim Neo reports. Sevastian Botnari, president of the National Association of Tourism Agencies (ANAT), told a news conference that the activities will start with an informative tour for the members of the Association and other tourist companies, within which there will be presented a number of tourist facilities. There will be visited the Museum House “Alexandru Donici”, the Curchi Monastery, the wine company Chateau Vartely and the complex Orheiul Vechi. Sevastian Botnari encouraged the public to take part in the blessing of the Assumption of the Virgin Church in Hiriseni, Telenesti on Saturday. The church started to be built in 1642. “We consider that this church will be of major importance for the Moldovan tourism and thus urge the people to visit it,” he stated. On September 25, the National Association of Tourism Agencies will mount the ANAT Minifootball Cup. The competition will take place on the stadium situated on Ghidighici St in Chisinau’s Buicani district. It will involve teams of students of the tourism faculties and veterans in the field. The aim of the event is to offer the young people the possibility of knowing the tourism managers. The most important event will take place on September 27 – the conference “Moldovan Tourism: accomplishments and prospects after 20 years of independence”. There will be also given a reception at a five-star hotel located outside the city. It will bring together persons working in the tourism industry. The National Association of Tourism Agencies includes 80 tourism agencies and 10 accommodation facilities.
