The works to repair the 2,600 km of roads covered by the national program “Good Roads 2” will start in two weeks. The last preparations for launching the project were examined in a meeting called by Prime Minister Pavel Filip with responsible officials, IPN reports, quoting the Government’s press service.
“The good projects should be continued. The national program “Good Roads” that turned out to be successful is one of these. We convinced ourselves of this in the election campaign, when the people thanked us for the road repaired in their village,” stated Pavel Filip.
In the framework of the program “Good Roads 2” this year, there will be repaired by 1,000 km of roads more than last.
The program “Good Roads 2” started to be designed last November and the local public authorities were invited to submit proposals. The decisions concerning the road sections that will be repaired were approved in the meetings of local councils so that they express the interest of the whole community.
About 1,600 km of roads in the country’s settlements were repaired in 2018 through the agency of the national program “Good Roads 2”.
