Works to kill rats and insects are executed in basements of apartment bundling, in recreational areas and in parks in Chisinau, IPN reports.
According to the head of the Public Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov, such works so far have been performed in 1,249 blocks of flats managed by municipal enterprises and in 320 privately managed blocks of the total 1,093. The works in the blocks administered by housing sector managers will be completed by the end of May.
The works to kill rats and insects are conducted by the Chisinau Public Health Center following a tender contest held in this regard. Over 1 million lei was allocated from the 2018 municipal budget for such works.
The Chisinau City Hall said works to kill dangerous insects, such as ticks, were also carried out in recreational areas in Chisinau, especially in parks and squares. Depending on the results, the operation will be repeated in 14 days.
