About 2,600 publicly owned real estate facilities situated in Chisinau and in eight suburban localities will be delimited during a year according to category and area. The works were initiated by the Public Services Agency with support from the Public Property Agency and the Chisinau City Hall, IPN reports.

The eight suburban settlements are the communes Băcioi, Budești, Ciorescu, Cruzești, Grătiești, and Stăuceni and the towns Cricova and Vadul lui Vodă. The state-run company INGEOCAD was chosen to execute the delimitation works.

Besides delimiting the about 2,600 publicly owned real estate facilities, the contract envisions the correction of errors in cadastral plans for about 2,200 privately owned lots. The works were estimated at 3.7 million lei.

The activities form part of the Land Registration and Valuation Project that is implemented in accordance with the financing agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the International Development Association that was signed on September 17, 2018. The project’s implementation period is 2019 - 2023. One of the major goals is to inventory and register lots of land and other types of real estate that are public property of the state or of administrative-territorial units.

The cadastral works for documenting privately owned property and delimiting publicly owned property within the Land Registration and Valuation Project cover about 430 localities in 14 districts of the country and the municipality of Bălți.
