The company that won the public tender contest started to construct the Leova – Iargara water pipeline that will be about 23 km long and will connect Leova and Iargara towns and the villages Filipeni, Romanovca, Sarata Noua, Hanssenii Noi and Cupcui, with a total number of over 23,000 inhabitants, to the water supply and sewage network, IPN reports.
The value of the project is of about €3 million. €2.4 million is provided by the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), while €600,000 is the national contribution from the National Regional Development Fund and the contribution of the Leova District Council.
The works were planned to last for nine months.
