The works to lay out the area adjoining the fountain in the Park “Valea Trandafirilor” (“Valley of the Roses”) in Botanica district of Chisinau go on and will be completed in mid-July, head of the Public Amenities Division Ion Burdiumov stated for IPN.
The fountain in the park is being reconstructed and turned into a pedestrian one. The people will be able to walk through the jets of water that will be synchronized with music and decorative lighting.
There will also be set up nocturnal illumination and urban furniture and renovated the access ways to the fountain. Special infrastructure will be built for persons with baby carriages and those in wheelchairs.
According to Ion Burdiumov, the costs associated with the renovation of the fountain were valued at 3.5 million lei, while the laying out of the adjoining area will cost about 1.5 million lei. The money is allocated from the municipal budget.
