The national women’s U-19 squad of Moldova won the friendly played away against the similar team of Belarus 2-1 on May 20, IPN reports.
The hosts scored the first, but the footballers trained by Victor Greapca found strength to recover soon. In the 17th minute, Diana Loghin tied and then, towards the end of the encounter, scored the victory goal for Moldova.
In the first friendly between the two teams played on May 18, Belarus beat Moldova 3-0.
On June 11 and 13, the national women’s U-19 team will play another two exhibition matches away, against Hungary.
In the 2013/2014 European U-19 Women’s Football Championship qualifiers, Moldova will play in Group 4 alongside the Czech Republic, Finland, and the Faroe Islands. The matches of the mini-tournament will take place in Finland between September 21 and 26, 2013.
