An elderly woman from Toceni village of Cantemir district was rushed to the hospital as a result of a house annex explosion and fire on September 12, IPN reports.
According to the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, the first version is that the explosion occurred as a result of a gas leakage from the gas cylinder. The firemen managed to swiftly localize the fire and the house wasn’t affected.
The 74-year-old woman was admitted to the Cantemir District Hospital with burns.
Firefighters urge to obey the anti-fire rules when using gas cylinders, which must be installed by specialists only and must be regularly checked.
