Women of the Peoples Republican Party notes violations regarding the sell of prohibited goods to minors

Women Organization within the Peoples Republican Party (PRP) notes many violations regarding the selling of alcoholic drinks and cigarettes near the education institutions. PRP women representatives require to the local and central public authorities to involve, according to the legislation in force, in order to educate a healthy generation. Maricica Romanciuc, the head of PRP Women Organization of Chisinau, expressed her concern about the increasing rate of minors that use alcoholic drinks and tobacco, which are sold at any street corner and, more importantly, near education institutions. According to her, even the legislation bans the selling of these goods within 50 meters far from an education institution. PRP noted multiple violations of these provisions in Soroca, Ciadar-Lunga, Balti and especially in Chisinau municipality. PRP Women Organization addressed to the Government a Complaint requiring the examination of this issue at the next meetings, creating a commission for finding out the infringements of the legislation in this context, to harsh the sanctions applied to the persons violating the legislation regarding the sell of alcoholic drinks and tobacco, as well as to the employees regulating retailed alcoholic drinks selling which issue licenses that violate the legislation. PRP Women Organization will continue to supervise the situation in this field.
