A woman from Ungheni was sentenced to 11 years in jail for killing her husband during a jealousy scene, IPN reports.
According to the Prosecutor General’s Office, the woman aged 29 had a lover. Last June, her husband found out that she was cheating on him and the two had a quarrel. The conflict escalated and the furious woman stabbed her husband in the heart with a kitchen knife. The man died on the spot.
After committing the crime, the woman phoned her lover and told him what happened. He advised her to call the police. The woman pleaded not guilty.
The sentence is not yet definitive.
