A woman from Risipeni village of Fălești district, who suffered burns as a result of a blast, was transported to Chisinau by a SMURD helicopter. The helicopter landed on the Dinamo Stadium where it was awaited by the national service Aviasan that took the woman to the National Burns Center, IPN reports.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the 64-year-old woman suffered burns on 50% of the body. On the way to Chisinau, she was supervised by the medical team of SMURD Iasi.
The exposition in which the woman was involved was caused by an accumulation of natural gas in her home. The same day, a similar blast occurred in Congaz village of ATU Gagauzia. Rescuers warn the people to carefully use appliances connected to natural gas and to periodically examine the installations. The use of gas cylinders in homes is dangerous, especially when the cylinder is incorrectly connected to the installation or the gas stove is detective.
